Latest: Media denied access to the Campus

We have just been informed that members of the Media trying to cover the disgraceful eviction have been denied access to the Campus. This is a blatant attempt by the University Authorities to keep their actions (including the assault of peacefully-protesting students) out of the limelight. You can contact the University switchboard to complain at 0115 951 51 51.

  1. How exactly are they keeping media off campus? Have they really shut all the through-roads and effectively locked down the entire university?

  2. Switchboard number is not working. Do I detect a conspiracy here?!

  3. Called them a few mins back, I got out through to the registrars office. Had to leave a voicemail as no one was there..

With you all the way guys..

It has to be said that the BBC did not exactly go out of their way to get around university restrictions. The camera crew turned up, were told they couldn’t come onto campus, turned around and went home.

Whatever happened to intrepid journalism? There are four road entrances to campus and umpteen ways of getting on by foot.
